State-level Tulsidas Jayanti celebration in Balod's Sanoud village; former MP Mohan Mandavi presents Ramcharitmanas to women

A state-level Goswami Tulsidas Jayanti festival was organized in village Sanoud (Palari) of Balod district through the joint efforts of Tulsi Manas Pratishthan's Gurur tehsil unit, the Balod district unit, the Sanoud gram panchayat, and local villagers. Manas scholars, litterateurs, artists, and bhajan troupes from various districts of Chhattisgarh participated in this state-level event. Musical renditions of Ramcharitmanas chaupais and devotional bhajans were performed throughout the day-long program.

Former Member of Parliament from Kanker parliamentary constituency Mohan Mandavi and Tulsi Manas Pratishthan Chhattisgarh state president Jagdish Deshmukh attended the ceremony as chief guests. Chief guest Mohan Mandavi presented copies of the Ramcharitmanas to the women attending the event. In his address, he stated that this sacred text should be studied regularly in every home. He noted that the contribution of every citizen is vital in building an ideal society. Describing mothers as the pivot of the family, he added that by adopting the teachings of this scripture, they can build a cultured family and an ideal domestic life.

Addressing the event, Tulsi Manas Pratishthan Chhattisgarh state president Jagdish Deshmukh remarked that even after five hundred years, the significance of Goswami Tulsidas and his work remains intact. He highlighted that the conduct and righteousness of Lord Shri Ram are the finest examples of devotion to the motherland. He described the text not merely as a religious book, but as a guide to human values, a disciplined life, and an ideal social order.

Presenting the organization's annual report from the dais, Pratishthan General Secretary Rajendra Thakur shared that the organization has completed 24 years of its journey. Since its inception, the institution has been dedicated to spreading human values in society through the Ramcharitmanas. He informed that the organization organizes two main events every year: Tulsi Jayanti and the Manas Vibhuti Alankaran Mahotsav.
