Ahsaas Channa joins Asur 3, filming underway for crime thriller's third season
Ahsaas Channa has joined the cast of Asur 3, now in production. The crime thriller's new season is slated for a mid-2027 release on JioHotstar.
Actress Ahsaas Channa has come on board for the third season of the crime thriller series Asur. She has begun shooting for the JioHotstar production, joining a cast that includes returning leads Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti, Ridhi Dogra, Anupriya Goenka, Vishesh Bansal, and Shweta Basu Prasad.
Production on Asur 3 is currently underway and is expected to continue until December 2026. The makers are reportedly aiming for a mid-2027 release on the streaming platform.
Channa, who described herself as a longtime fan of the show, expressed excitement about working with the ensemble cast. She said the new season would take the series' thrill and intensity to another level.
The first two seasons of Asur were directed by Oni Sen, who is now associated with another project. The upcoming season will be directed by Gaurav Shukla, who wrote the earlier seasons and will also produce the third installment.
The series blends crime, mythology, and psychological thriller elements. It follows forensic expert Nikhil Nair (Barun Sobti) and CBI officer Dhananjay Rajpoot (Arshad Warsi) as they investigate murders tied to a larger conspiracy. Channa's addition expands the ensemble as the story moves into its next chapter.
