Air India Express to link Visakhapatnam with Bangkok from October 27
Air India Express will operate twice-weekly Visakhapatnam-Bangkok flights from October 27, addressing years of demand from the Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association.
Air India Express is set to launch a direct international service connecting Visakhapatnam with Bangkok, starting October 27. The new route will operate twice a week, marking a significant addition to the flight options available at the Bhogapuram airport.
The outbound flight, designated IX 904, will depart Visakhapatnam at 11:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Friday. The return leg is scheduled to land back in the city at 3:55 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays, offering a convenient schedule for both leisure and business travellers.
The announcement fulfils a demand that the Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association has been pressing for over several years. The group has consistently advocated for enhanced international connectivity from the region, and this service is expected to ease travel for passengers who previously had to rely on connecting flights via other metros.
With this launch, the Bhogapuram airport adds another international destination to its network, potentially boosting tourism and trade links between Andhra Pradesh and Thailand.
