Retired Air Marshal Takes Charge as Ayodhya Temple Trust's First CEO

Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra (Retired), who led the Indian Air Force's Western Command during Operation Sindoor, has been appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya.

In his first remarks after the appointment, the former officer described the role as a divine directive. "If this is the command of Lord Shri Ram, then I have no right to question it or feel any other way about looking forward to it or not," he said.

Mishra, who retired from service in May after a 35-year career, brings extensive administrative and strategic experience to the temple's management. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Pune, the Air Force Test Pilots School in Bangalore, and the Royal College of Defence Studies, he has held multiple commanding positions in the Air Force.

The appointment follows a period of administrative restructuring within the Trust, prompted by an incident of donation theft that drew national attention. As part of these changes, three new members have been inducted into the Trust: Madan Mohan Pandey from Ayodhya, Mahesh Bhagchandka from Delhi, and Nirmala Yadav from Shikohabad.

Addressing questions about overcoming past controversies, Mishra expressed confidence in the path ahead. "Once you are on the new path, you must learn from the previous one... with the help of the guidance of the trust and with the blessings of Lord Ram, I am very sure that I'll be able to put in my best in administering the temple," he stated.

Speaking to devotees across the country, the newly appointed CEO conveyed a message of humility and dedication. "The only thing I am feeling presently is that I'm fortunate. I'm full of gratitude, and look forward to doing my best in the coming future," he said.
