Ajay Devgn Wants Mohanlal, Jeethu Joseph to Approve 'Drishyam The Conclusion'

Ajay Devgn has said he hopes Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph will watch the upcoming Hindi film 'Drishyam The Conclusion' and give their approval to the crime thriller.

Speaking at the trailer launch in Goa on Wednesday, Devgn said the new film takes a "completely different" narrative path from the Malayalam original trilogy. He described making the third part as a big challenge, noting that while the second Hindi instalment was inspired by the original, this time the script is entirely fresh.

"All three of their films are different, and our film has also taken a completely different route. It's not that we've just made a few changes; the story is entirely different," the actor said.

Devgn added that he would be happy if Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph, who helmed the Malayalam films, watch and love the Hindi version. "I would also like their approval," he said.

The trailer of 'Drishyam The Conclusion' was unveiled in Goa on Wednesday. The film continues the story of Vijay Salgaonkar and his family after the events of 'Drishyam 2'. This time, Vijay faces a new challenge as Jaideep Ahlawat plays SP Crime Branch officer Rajveer Singh Tomar, who takes charge of the case to uncover the truth Vijay has hidden for years.

Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor reprise their roles, with Prakash Raj joining the cast. Kamlesh Sawant, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav are also part of the film.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is co-written by Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. It is presented by Star Studio18 and produced by Panorama Studios.

The Hindi 'Drishyam' franchise began in 2015 with Ajay Devgn in the lead, a remake of Mohanlal's Malayalam film. The second part released in 2022. 'Drishyam The Conclusion' is scheduled to hit cinemas on October 2, 2026.
