Akhilesh Vows Balanced, World-Class Development of Braj Region if SP Returns to Power
On Janmashtami, Akhilesh Yadav promised balanced, world-class development of Braj region, ensuring religious significance and welfare of Brajwasis.
Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said that if his party is voted back to power in Uttar Pradesh, it will undertake a "balanced and world-class" development of the Braj region, while ensuring that the interests of the local people are not compromised.
Speaking on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Mr. Yadav extended his greetings to devotees worldwide, expressing hope that the blessings of Lord Krishna would continue to shower upon them.
In a post on X, he reiterated the party's commitment to the birthplace of Lord Krishna, recalling the foundational work done for the Braj region during the previous SP government. He promised to carry that work forward with a comprehensive plan covering Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana, and Govardhan.
The development, he said, would preserve the religious and mythological significance of the area while offering pilgrims and spiritual tourists access to modern infrastructure. He stressed that progress must not come at the cost of the people of Braj, asserting that true development can only happen with the consent and cooperation of the local community.
"The key to the development of the Braj region lies in the upliftment and welfare of the people of Braj," he added.
