Akriti Agarwal Announces Split from Fiancé Prithvi Shaw

Actor Akriti Agarwal has announced that she and her fiancé, cricketer Prithvi Shaw, have decided to end their relationship. The announcement comes roughly six months after the couple revealed their engagement in March.

In a statement shared on social media, Agarwal said the decision was mutual and stemmed from differing goals and circumstances. She acknowledged the affection the two share but said they had accepted that their paths were not meant to converge.

"With a heavy heart, I would like to share that my fiancé and I have decided to part ways due to different goals and circumstances for our future," she wrote, adding that they had chosen to go their separate ways given the responsibilities and situations they currently face.

Agarwal wished both of them the best, peace and happiness ahead, and asked for privacy during what she described as a difficult time. She also urged people to avoid speculating about or assuming the reasons behind the separation.

The engagement was made public in March through a post on Shaw's social media handle, in which he described Agarwal as his "perfect innings" and shared pictures from the occasion.

Shaw has not yet responded to the separation announcement.
