Hulu Cancels Alex Cooper's Dating Show 'Love Overboard' After One Season
Hulu has cancelled Alex Cooper's dating reality show 'Love Overboard' after a single season, though her production company has multiple projects in the pipeline.
Hulu has pulled the plug on 'Love Overboard', the dating reality series executive produced by Alex Cooper, after just one season. The show, which premiered on March 26, marked Cooper's debut in unscripted television.
Hosted by Gabby Windey, known for appearances on 'The Bachelorette' and 'The Traitors', the series followed 22 contestants aboard a luxury yacht. Participants competed in challenges to win access to amenities on the vessel while searching for romance.
Despite the cancellation, Cooper's production company, Unwell Productions, has several other projects in the works. Her dating game show with Harry Jowsey, 'Let's Marry Harry', debuted on Netflix earlier this month. She also launched 'Unwell Winter Games' on YouTube earlier this year, with 'Summer Games' set to debut in early September.
Cooper is also developing a scripted series titled 'You Deserve to Know' at Hulu, starring 'The Vampire Diaries' actors Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley. Earlier this year, she served as executive producer and interviewed singer Miley Cyrus for Disney+'s 'Hannah Montana' 20th anniversary special.
