Alia Bhatt's First Look from Bhansali's Love & War Unveiled

The makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film Love & War have released the first look of Alia Bhatt, the latest in a series of character reveals for the project.

The poster shows Bhatt seated on a chair in a slit skirt and a headpiece, styled in a retro, cabaret-inspired manner. Her pose and expression suggest a glamorous and confident persona, offering a different side of the actress than audiences have seen in her recent work.

The image was shared on social media by the production house with the caption, "Aag bhi, dilon ki jaan bhi!"

The reveal follows the release of Ranbir Kapoor's first look, as the team gradually introduces the film's principal cast. Love & War stars Kapoor, Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles.

For Bhatt, the film marks another collaboration with Bhansali after Gangubai Kathiawadi, in which she played the titular role in 2022. She also reunites with Kapoor, her co-star in Brahmastra, and with Kaushal, with whom she appeared in Raazi. The coming together of the three actors is a first for a Bhansali directorial.

Love & War is set in a contemporary world, a shift from the period settings associated with several of the director's recent projects. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on January 21, 2027, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

With the looks of its central cast now being revealed one by one, the film's promotional campaign is beginning to offer audiences a glimpse of the world Bhansali has built for the romantic drama.
