Amaal Mallik Warns Trolls Over Family Attacks in 'Main Hoon Hero Tera' Credit Row

Composer Amaal Mallik has issued a stern warning to social media users who have been targeting his family amid a controversy over the credit for the song 'Main Hoon Hero Tera'.

In a post on X, Mallik drew a clear line between criticism directed at him and attacks on his family, stating that the latter would not be tolerated. He said he would expose anyone speaking against his family and would also come after those in the film industry who stand against him without cause.

Mallik asserted that he had stood by his father, Daboo Malik, and his family, and would continue to do so. He added that while such clashes might happen with others, they would not be accepted when it came to his family, and warned people to proceed at their own risk.

The composer also explained how the song came together. He said Armaan Malik sang the main version, which allowed it to be presented to actor-producer Salman Khan and director Nikhil Advani. Mallik said he composed the track, Kumaar wrote it, and Armaan sang it, after which it was approved and Salman Khan recorded his own version.

Mallik acknowledged that without Salman Khan's face and voice version, the song would not be where it is today, but stressed that without him and Kumaar there would be no song to sing, and without Armaan there would be nothing to play for Salman. He questioned why the effort that goes into creating a song is often left out of celebration posts every year.

The row emerged after Salman Khan's home production shared a social media post marking ten years of 'Main Hoon Hero Tera' without mentioning Mallik's credit as the composer.

Mallik also referred to the public attention his family received after a previous post about his parents' separation, saying the matter was a clash between a son's ideologies and his parents' world of beliefs, and that it is now sorted.
