Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski Confirm Separation After Nine Years

Actors Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have confirmed that they are no longer together, ending a marriage that lasted nine years.

In a joint statement, the couple said they had already been living apart for some time and described the separation as the correct decision for their family. They added that they remain connected to each other and that the arrangement has worked well for them.

Seyfried, 40, and Sadoski, 50, first met in 2015 during an off-Broadway production, The Way We Get By. They worked together again that same year on the film The Last Word, playing characters who were romantically involved. Their on-screen pairing developed into an off-screen relationship, and the two were reported to be dating in March 2016.

They became engaged later that year and married quietly in March 2017, choosing to elope rather than hold a public ceremony. Sadoski later described the wedding as a private moment shared only by the two of them and an officiant, calling it beautiful and exactly what it should have been.

The couple are parents to two children and have generally kept their family life out of the public eye.
