Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black' Gets 20th Anniversary Deluxe Reissue
A 20th-anniversary reissue of Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black' will include unreleased demos, B-sides, and a 2007 live show.
Amy Winehouse's landmark 2006 album, Back to Black, is set to receive a comprehensive reissue to mark its 20th anniversary. The new edition, scheduled for release on 23 October 2026, arrives four days before the album's original release date.
The expanded package will feature a range of previously unheard material, including unreleased demos and rare B-sides. Among the highlights is a live performance recorded at Amsterdam's Paradiso venue on 8 February 2007, captured during the album's supporting tour.
Fans will also find a slowed-down, early demo version of the track "Tears Dry," which later evolved into the album's standout single "Tears Dry On Their Own." Island Records is promoting the release with a new animated video for this alternate take.
The reissue will be presented in multiple formats and will include previously unseen photographs by Mischa Richter and Alex Lake. Liner notes are contributed by producer Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, both of whom worked closely with Winehouse on the original record.
Winehouse, the British singer-songwriter, passed away in July 2011 at the age of 27. Her legacy remains closely tied to Back to Black, an album widely regarded as a defining work of 21st-century British pop and soul.
