Three Andhra nurses head to Germany under APSSDC's Project Vasudha
Three nurses from Andhra Pradesh have travelled to Germany under Project Vasudha for language training and employment, with a stipend of €1,200 and a future salary of €3,400.
Three nurses from Andhra Pradesh have travelled to Germany under Project Vasudha, an initiative of the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) aimed at creating international career opportunities for qualified nurses.
The first batch comprises Namita Kaki, Sanaya Singh and Srimadhuri Korra, all from Aditya Nursing College in Kakinada. Before their departure, they completed German language training in Rajahmahendravaram.
In Germany, the nurses will undergo six months of B2-level German language training and complete the professional recognition process required for employment. During this period, they will receive a monthly stipend of €1,200, inclusive of food and accommodation. Upon successful completion of the training and recognition process, they will earn a monthly salary of €3,400.
APSSDC Managing Director and CEO G. Ganesh Kumar described the first batch's departure as an important milestone in creating international career opportunities for skilled professionals from Andhra Pradesh.
The programme is being implemented in collaboration with the Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited (OMCAP) and Skill Bee Pvt. Ltd. APSSDC Executive Director and OMCAP General Manager D. Manohar said the programme offers nurses a structured pathway covering German language training, professional recognition and overseas employment support.
