Andhra Pradesh launches free online portal for Ganesh pandal permissions

The Andhra Pradesh police have introduced a free, fully online single-window system for obtaining permissions to set up Ganesh pandals across the state. Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta announced the launch on Wednesday, stating that no fee will be charged for the permissions.

The initiative is designed to streamline the approval process, ensure uniform standards, and improve coordination among various government departments. The DGP said the system will help facilitate the peaceful conduct of the upcoming Ganesh festival.

Organisers of Ganesh Utsav Committees and pandals can now visit the website www.ganeshutsav.net to submit all required details about their proposed pandal and its location. Once an application is filed, it will be automatically routed to officials from the police, fire services, municipality, electricity, and revenue departments for scrutiny and joint verification.

After all departments complete their checks, a digital No Objection Certificate (NOC) featuring a QR code will be issued to the applicant. The DGP has urged all committees and organisers to make use of the new online system and to display the QR-code certificate prominently at their pandals for easy verification by authorities.

Organisers have also been asked to cooperate fully with officials to ensure the Ganesh celebrations are conducted safely and peacefully.
