Andhra Pradesh notifies interim fee hike for private medical, dental colleges
AP notifies interim fee structure for private medical and dental colleges for 2026-27, raising fees by 15% for PG/super-speciality and 10% for UG courses.
The Andhra Pradesh government has notified the interim fee structure for the academic year 2026-27 covering super-speciality, postgraduate (PG), and undergraduate (UG) courses in private unaided medical and dental colleges across the state. The revised structure, issued on Saturday, incorporates a 15% increase in fees for super-speciality and PG courses, while UG courses will see a 10% hike.
The notification was issued under Section 7 of the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1983. The interim rates remain subject to the final determination by the A.P. Higher Education Fee Regulatory and Monitoring Committee, as well as the outcome of writ petitions currently pending before the Andhra Pradesh High Court and the Supreme Court.
Three separate Government Orders (RT Nos. 785, 786, and 787) were issued by G. Veerapandian, Secretary of the Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department.
For super-speciality courses, the annual fee at GSL Medical College, Katuri Medical College, Narayana Medical College, NRI Medical College, and Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences has been set at ₹19,83,750, up from the earlier ₹17.25 lakh.
For PG medical courses under the A Category (competent authority quota), the fee is ₹5,71,320 for clinical degree courses, ₹1,78,538 for para-clinical degree and diploma courses, and ₹80,937 for pre-clinical degree courses. Under the B Category (management quota), the corresponding fees are ₹11,42,640, ₹3,57,075, and ₹1,61,874. For the C Category (NRI/institutional quota), fees stand at ₹66,12,500 for clinical degree, ₹19,83,750 for para-clinical, and ₹10,58,000 for pre-clinical courses.
PG dental fees under the A Category are ₹3,92,783 for clinical and ₹3,53,504 for para-clinical courses. The B Category rates are ₹7,85,565 and ₹5,74,759 respectively, while the C Category fees are ₹15.87 lakh for clinical and ₹9,25,750 for para-clinical courses.
For UG courses, the A Category fee is ₹18,150 for MBBS and ₹15,730 for BDS. Under the B Category, MBBS is priced at ₹14,52,000 and BDS at ₹4.84 lakh. The C Category fee is ₹43,56,000 for MBBS and ₹14,52,000 for BDS.
