Student Bodies Demand CBI Probe Into DSC-2025 Teacher Recruitment Irregularities

Student and youth organisations in Andhra Pradesh have called for a comprehensive and impartial investigation into alleged irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment drive, with a particular focus on appointments made under the sports quota.

At a press conference, leaders from the All India Student Federation (AISF) and the All-India Youth Federation (AIYF) claimed that forged sports certificates were used to secure teaching positions. They urged authorities to scrutinise the role of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) and various sports associations in the process.

The organisations said candidates had repeatedly raised concerns about the examination, results, merit lists, and selection methodology, but the government had not provided adequate responses. They also alleged that some individuals who had not cleared the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) were appointed to teaching posts.

Demanding full transparency at every stage—from the notification and examination to the release of results and appointments—the groups have sought a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the entire recruitment exercise. They argued that a fair process would leave the government with no reason to resist such a probe.

Separately, the Student Federation of India (SFI) echoed these concerns, stating that the government must establish the facts and present them publicly. The SFI questioned the administration's assertion that no irregularities occurred, pointing out that arrests and inquiries had already been initiated in connection with the recruitment.

The federation warned that a lack of clarity in sports quota hiring would deeply harm unemployed candidates who had invested years and significant money in preparation. It insisted that even a single instance of injustice could derail a candidate's future and demanded action against those responsible, along with justice for eligible aspirants.

In a related matter, the SFI also condemned the filing of cases and alleged illegal arrests of police constable aspirants who were protesting peacefully in Kakinada. The group called for the withdrawal of these cases, the immediate release of those detained, and direct dialogue with the candidates to address their grievances.
