53 Andhra Youths Head to Germany, Dubai With Overseas Job Offers
44 nurses bound for Germany and nine drivers for Dubai received offer letters and certificates at an OMCAP event in Tadepalli.
Fifty-three young people from Andhra Pradesh are set to take up jobs abroad, with 44 nurses placed in Germany and nine drivers in Dubai. The candidates were felicitated at a programme organised by Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited (OMCAP) at the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) office in Tadepalli on Friday, where they collected their offer letters and certificates before their departure.
The selected candidates are expected to earn monthly remuneration in the range of ₹3 lakh to ₹4 lakh.
The nurses were trained under Project Vasudha, which provided free German language instruction and employment-oriented training along with visa processing and international travel support. B2-level German language certificates and employment offer letters were handed to the candidates at the event. The initiative is aimed at helping skilled youth, particularly those from economically disadvantaged families, secure safe and legitimate work overseas.
The programme also underscored the role played by the State Government, OMCAP, APSSDC, the AP Non-Resident Telugus' Society (APNRTS) and partner organisation 2COMS in delivering the training and arranging overseas employment.
APNRT president Ravi Kumar Vemuru told the candidates that support would continue after they reached their workplaces, noting that APNRT coordinators in several countries can assist Indians working abroad. He advised them to register with the organisation to access its services, prioritise their safety, abide by the laws of their host countries and maintain professional discipline while upholding the reputation of Andhra Pradesh and India.
APSSDC Managing Director and CEO G. Ganesh Kumar said foreign-language skills are becoming increasingly important for international jobs, and that the corporation is working to expand German and other foreign-language training programmes to prepare more skilled youth for overseas employers.
OMCAP General Manager and APSSDC Executive Director D. Manohar said efforts are on to create more such opportunities by engaging with employers in a few other countries where trained manpower from the State can find jobs. 2COMS MD and CEO Prasanth Pachisia appreciated the partnership between the State Government, OMCAP and APSSDC in facilitating overseas employment.
