Anthropic rolls out Claude for Financial Advisors
Anthropic has launched Claude for Financial Advisors, a tool connecting its chatbot to software from BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Addepar and others, days after OpenAI's finance-focused ChatGPT release.
Anthropic on Monday introduced a suite of tools aimed at financial advisers, linking its Claude chatbot to investment analytics and wealth-management platforms. The product, called Claude for Financial Advisors, is intended to help financial services firms prepare for client meetings, review portfolios and manage follow-up work.
The offering connects Claude with data and software from a range of firms, including BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Addepar, Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, Wealthbox, Wealth.com and Zocks.
The launch comes days after rival OpenAI unveiled a version of ChatGPT tailored to the financial industry, aimed at investment bankers and equity researchers with capabilities for financial research, modelling and client materials.
Anthropic's latest move extends its broader push into financial services, where it has already developed tools built on its Claude model for tasks such as investment research, portfolio analysis, financial modelling and the preparation of client materials.
The announcement lands amid growing scrutiny of the pace and cost of AI development, with industry leaders increasingly questioning whether current spending levels can be sustained and how quickly the technology should advance, given mounting concerns about misuse.
