
Anupam Kher announces his 555th film, keeps details under wraps
Anupam Kher revealed his 555th film via a poster on Instagram, without sharing title or cast, asking fans to wait for details.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher has announced that he will be starring in his 555th film. The announcement came through a poster shared on his Instagram account on Tuesday, where he described the project as a "landmark" in his career.
In his post, Kher explained that he had kept the news to himself for a while, believing that revealing it at the right moment would add to the joy. He wrote, "Some things are better kept close to the heart for a little while!! Because the joy of revealing them at the right time is something else!"
He confirmed that the upcoming project would mark his 555th film but did not disclose the title, cast, or any other details. He asked fans to enjoy the suspense along with him, adding, "Details at the right time. Till then, please allow me to enjoy the suspense too! Jai Ho!"
Kher, who has been active in Hindi cinema for over four decades, made his debut with Mahesh Bhatt's 'Saaransh' in 1984. Since then, he has appeared in more than 500 films across multiple languages, playing a wide variety of roles.
Looking ahead, Kher has several projects in the pipeline. He is reportedly set to voice the character of Jatayu in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'. He has also completed shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's 'Yeh Prem Mol Liya' and will appear in the much-awaited 'Khosla Ka Ghosla 2'.
In addition, Kher is returning to Bengali cinema as a producer after 26 years. He is backing the film 'Shuru Theke Shuru' alongside producer Firdausal Hasan, which will mark the directorial debut of writer-director Shamik Banerjee.
