AP JAC urges government for immediate talks on PRC, DA and employee dues
Andhra Pradesh JAC leaders demand immediate resolution of PRC, DA, surrender leave and outsourcing staff issues; warn of action plan on September 5.
The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (AP JAC), representing employees, teachers, workers and pensioners, has urged the state government to hold immediate talks on its long-pending demands. The appeal comes ahead of a planned state-level meeting on September 5.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, August 23, 2026, AP JAC president A. Vidyasagar and secretary general K.S.S. Prasad highlighted key unresolved issues, including the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) recommendations, dearness allowance (DA), surrender leave, and the grievances of outsourcing employees.
According to the leaders, the demands were formally placed before the government, and a Group of Ministers had earlier held discussions with the committee. However, they said there has been no proper response or concrete progress on the matter.
Mr. Prasad stated that the government should initiate talks with the AP JAC at the earliest and consider the committee's genuine demands. He added that if the government fails to respond, the AP JAC will convene a state-level meeting on September 5.
Mr. Vidyasagar said the leaders would announce an action plan to press their demands during that meeting. He appealed to the government to resolve the issues amicably through dialogue rather than confrontation.
