Argentina has positioned itself as a dependable partner for India in the supply of critical minerals and energy resources, according to Ambassador Mariano Agustín Caucino. The envoy pointed to predictable exports of lithium, copper, oil, and gas as key areas where the two nations can deepen their economic engagement.
Caucino's remarks come as both countries look to broaden their trade portfolios and reduce reliance on concentrated global supply chains. India, which imports a significant share of its energy needs and is building domestic capabilities in electric vehicles and renewable energy, has been seeking stable sources of critical inputs.
Argentina, home to vast lithium reserves in its Andean salt flats and substantial conventional energy resources, sees India as a growing market.
