Australia to Halt New Enrolments in Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)
Australia will stop new international student enrolments in the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) from October 5, 2026, citing integrity concerns.
Australia has announced that from October 5, 2026, it will no longer accept new international student enrolments in the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) course (code BSB80120). The decision, revealed on September 4 by Assistant Minister for International Education Julian Hill, marks the first time the government has used its new powers to suspend a specific course's registration for overseas students.
The move follows evidence that the course was being exploited by some non-genuine students to facilitate transfers within Australia. The government also linked the course to high visa refusal rates and poor course completion.
Current students already enrolled in the program will be allowed to continue and complete their studies with their existing provider. However, education providers will not be able to register new international students for the course after the cutoff date.
At present, 452 vocational education and training (VET) providers are registered to offer this course to international students, with 41,033 active Confirmations of Enrolment, including 15,772 students currently studying.
The government stated that the action is specific to this course and aims to protect the quality and integrity of Australia's international education and student visa systems.
