Bengaluru Traffic Curbs Announced for Congress Protest at Freedom Park
Bengaluru Traffic Police announce restrictions and diversions in central Bengaluru for a KPCC protest at Freedom Park on September 2.
The Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued an advisory ahead of a protest planned by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) at Freedom Park on Wednesday, September 2. The demonstration is being held in response to an FIR filed against Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, in Haldwani, Uttarakhand.
The protest is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and a large turnout is expected. To manage the anticipated crowd and ensure smooth traffic movement, the police have put in place temporary restrictions and diversions in the central parts of the city.
Vehicular movement between Freedom Park Junction and Kanakadasa Circle will be completely halted in both directions. No vehicles will be permitted on this stretch during the protest hours.
Parking has been banned on several key roads, including the stretch from Khode Junction to Maharani Junction, as well as on Y. Ramachandra Road, Kalidas Road, Palace Road, and K.G. Road. Motorists are advised to avoid these routes and use alternative roads to reach their destinations.
The traffic police have appealed to the public to cooperate with the restrictions and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
