Bihar will felicitate 168 BSEB exam toppers on September 9 with cash prizes and laptop purchase support.
The Bihar government will recognise the achievements of 168 students who topped the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Intermediate and Matriculation examinations. A felicitation ceremony is scheduled for September 9 at noon at Nek Samvad in Patna, where the toppers and their families have been invited to attend.
The award structure provides tiered cash prizes based on final rank. Students securing the first position in either examination will receive Rs 2 lakh, followed by Rs 1.5 lakh for second place and Rs 1 lakh for third place. Beyond the top three, students ranked fourth and fifth in the Intermediate exams will each get Rs 30,000, while those placed fourth through tenth in the Matriculation exams will receive Rs 20,000 each.
In addition to the rank-based prize money, all 168 students selected for the felicitation will receive Rs 51,000 each to assist with the purchase of a laptop. The initiative aims to support the academic journeys of high-achieving students across the state.
