BJP to Launch Month-Long Vadnagar-Varanasi Yatra on PM Modi's Birthday

BJP plans a 30-day outreach yatra from Vadnagar to Varanasi starting September 17, with ten teams covering 100 km daily.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to launch a major nationwide outreach campaign, the 'Vadnagar to Varanasi Yatra', scheduled to commence on September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. The month-long initiative is designed to connect the PM's birthplace in Gujarat with his parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh.

According to party sources, ten separate teams will depart simultaneously from both Vadnagar and Varanasi on the first day. Teams starting from Varanasi will travel through multiple states before arriving in Vadnagar, while those beginning in Vadnagar will conclude their journey in Varanasi after 30 days.

Each convoy is expected to cover approximately 100 kilometers daily. The teams will comprise more than ten bikers, along with buses and party workers, who will pass through towns, villages, and districts along the designated routes.

A key feature of the yatra will be daily public engagement. At the end of each day's travel, the convoys will halt at pre-selected locations where party workers will participate in four scheduled programmes. These events are intended to highlight the governance initiatives of the BJP-led central government and development work in states where the party is in power.

The choice of the two cities is symbolically significant for the party. Vadnagar is associated with the Prime Minister's personal history, while Varanasi has been his political stronghold since 2014. Party leaders believe the yatra will reinforce the connection between these locations and strengthen the party's organisational outreach across the country.
