BRS leaders protest over Tukkuguda land allotted to firm linked to CM's brother
BRS leaders protested near Tukkuguda over land allotted to Tesseract Advanced Systems, a firm they link to CM Revanth Reddy's brother, alleging a below-market sale.
Leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi staged a protest on Thursday at land allotted to Tesseract Advanced Systems near Tukkuguda, a company they allege is connected to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's brother.
Among those who took part were K.T. Rama Rao, T. Harish Rao, T. Srinivas Yadav and P. Sabitha Indra Reddy.
Speaking at the protest, Mr. Rama Rao claimed that land valued at ₹250 crore had been handed to A. Kondal Reddy's company for just ₹7 crore. He demanded that the full particulars of the transaction be made public, and asked whether transferring expensive government land to the Chief Minister's family members at a throwaway price did not amount to an abuse of power.
He also sought clarity on the agreement between Tesseract Advanced Systems and Innovation Ecosystem of Israel, and questioned why central agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate, the CBI and the Income Tax Department had remained silent on the matter.
Mr. Rama Rao further asked whether companies linked to the family members of Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy were also entering the aerospace and defence sectors alongside the Chief Minister's siblings, noting that these two sectors fall purely under the Centre's purview.
