CAT 2026 Registration Closes Today at 5 PM, IIM Indore Confirms
IIM Indore closes CAT 2026 registration today at 5 PM. The exam will be held on November 29, 2026, with admit cards available from November 4.
The registration window for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 closes today, September 15, at 5 PM. IIM Indore, which is conducting the exam, has urged aspirants who have not yet applied to complete their forms on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. No applications will be entertained once the window shuts.
After registration ends, the organising institute will open a brief correction window. Only candidates who successfully registered and paid the fee before the deadline will be able to use it. Corrections will be limited to the photograph, signature and test city preferences.
Eligibility
Applicants from the General, EWS and NC-OBC categories must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50 per cent marks or an equivalent CGPA. SC, ST and PwBD candidates need a minimum of 45 per cent. Those in the final year of their bachelor's programme, as well as candidates who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results, are also eligible.
Fees and documents
The application fee is Rs 1,350 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates, and Rs 2,700 for all others. Payment can be made online through UPI, credit card, debit card or net banking. Fees are non-refundable.
Candidates should keep ready their Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, graduation marksheets or certificate, a scanned passport-size photograph and signature. Caste, PwD and scribe certificates are required where applicable.
Exam schedule
CAT 2026 will be held on November 29, 2026, across roughly 170 cities in three sessions covering Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability. The test will run for 120 minutes. Admit cards can be downloaded from November 4, 2026 onwards.
