CAT 2026 Registration Open Till September 15, 5 PM

Registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 is currently open for candidates seeking admission to management programmes at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). According to the official registration guide, the application window will close at 5 pm on September 15, 2026. Applications can be submitted through the official CAT website, iimcat.ac.in.

How to apply

Candidates must first visit the official website and click on the registration link for new candidates. They will need to enter basic details such as name, date of birth, email address and mobile number, then generate and validate an OTP to create a User ID and password.

After logging in as a registered candidate, applicants can proceed to the application form, which is divided into six sections: Personal Details, Academics, Work Experience, Programmes, Test City and Declaration. The next step involves uploading a photograph, signature and any applicable certificates.

Fee and city preferences

Applicants can select five test cities in order of preference, with one allotted subject to availability. The application fee is Rs 2,700 for General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates, and Rs 1,350 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.

Before making the payment, candidates are advised to preview the application and verify all information. A confirmation email and SMS will be sent after a successful transaction, and the payment transaction number should be saved for future reference. Changes are not permitted once the application has been submitted.
