CBSE Class 10, 12 Date Sheet for 2027 Board Exams Expected Soon (2026-09-28)
CBSE is expected to release the tentative Class 10 and 12 date sheet for the 2027 board exams soon, though no confirmed date has been announced.
The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to publish the tentative date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations of 2027 shortly. The board has not, however, announced a confirmed date for the release.
Once the schedule is out, students will be able to view and download it from the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. The date sheet is expected to carry subject names, subject codes, examination timings, subject-wise dates and the guidelines to be followed on exam day.
Sample papers already out
Ahead of the timetable, the board has published subject-wise sample papers along with marking schemes for both classes on its academic portal, cbseacademic.nic.in. Students preparing for the session have been advised to begin working through these papers.
The board has also stated that there will be no change in the question paper design, assessment pattern or passing criteria for the 2026-27 session.
How to check the timetable
Once the date sheet is uploaded, students can follow a short sequence of steps:
- Visit cbse.gov.in.
- Open the examination-circulars or latest-notice section on the homepage.
- Click the notification for the Class 10 and 12 Board Examinations 2027.
- Open the official PDF.
- Check the class, subject code, subject name, examination date and timing.
- Download and save the PDF for reference.
Students have also been asked to keep track of cbse.nic.in for further announcements.
Past trends and other updates
In the previous cycle, the tentative board exam timetable was released on September 24, while the final schedule was published on October 30. This year, the board is expected to follow a similar window, though nothing has been confirmed.
Separately, the online List of Candidates (LOC) submission process for schools is under way and will remain open until October 21, 2026.
Pre-board examinations for both classes are conducted by individual schools, which announce their own dates. These are held separately from the board exams and are not part of the CBSE date sheet.
