CBSE Class 10, 12 Date Sheet for 2027 Board Exams Expected Soon
CBSE is expected to release the tentative Class 10 and 12 date sheet for the 2027 board exams soon on cbse.gov.in, likely in the last week of September 2026.
The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release the exam schedule for the 2027 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations shortly, with the tentative date sheet to be hosted on its official website, cbse.gov.in. The timetable will cover students appearing for the board exams in the 2026-27 academic session.
An early intimation of the schedule gives candidates a head start on planning. Last year, the board issued a tentative date sheet on September 24, 2025. Should it repeat that practice, students and schools can expect the 2027 tentative schedule in the last week of September 2026.
What the tentative date sheet is likely to include
According to the board's previous format, the tentative schedule is expected to carry:
- The overall board examination timeline
- The main date sheet for Class 10 and Class 12
- The Class 12 examination for sports students
- The Class 10 second board exam timeline
- Class 12 supplementary exam dates
The board is also expected to indicate the number of candidates likely to appear in 2027. While announcing the tentative schedule for 2026, it had said that roughly 45 lakh candidates were expected across 204 subjects in Classes 10 and 12.
Why the schedule matters
Once the timetable is out, students can build structured study plans and work out a revision strategy around the gaps between papers. Schools, for their part, use the date sheet to align academic and administrative arrangements, including the deployment of teachers for examination and evaluation duties.
