CTET 2026: CBSE Opens Correction Window, Revised Exam Dates Awaited

CBSE opens CTET 2026 correction window till Sept 10; revised exam date for 22nd edition to be announced soon.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated the online correction facility for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 application forms. Candidates who have registered can now make changes to their particulars through the official portal, ctet.nic.in. This window will remain open from September 7 to September 10, 2026.

The move comes after the board reopened the application process on August 25, allowing a fresh batch of aspirants to register. That extended window closed on September 1. The initial registration phase had run from May 11 to June 10, with the exam originally slated for September 6.

CBSE has indicated that the revised date for the 22nd edition of CTET will be announced after the correction window closes. The rescheduling follows a Supreme Court observation emphasising that eligible teachers should be given a reasonable opportunity to meet the statutory TET qualification requirement.

Candidates who applied during the earlier phase (May 11–June 10) are also eligible to use the correction facility to update their details.

Regarding the test format, CTET will feature multiple-choice questions with four options each, carrying one mark per question. There is no negative marking.

The board will allot exam cities on a random basis, as no city-selection option was provided in the application form. Requests for changing the allotted city will not be entertained.

CBSE is expected to release the exam city intimation slip roughly ten days before the test date. Admit cards will be made available for download on the official website in due course.
