The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued strict directions to schools regarding the correction of students' demographic details, asking institutions to follow its instructions closely.
Schools have been told to comply with the board's guidelines issued at the time of registration and during the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC). The board has also asked schools to obtain confirmation from parents regarding the correctness of the details submitted for their children.
The directions place the responsibility for accurate student particulars on schools, which act as the primary point of data collection and verification. Demographic details typically include information such as a student's name, date of birth, parents' names and other personal particulars recorded with the board.
