CBSE Launches Month-Long Board Exam Prep Programme in Ladakh for Classes 10, 12

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun a month-long, in-person academic support programme for students of Classes 10 and 12 in government schools across ten locations in the Union Territory of Ladakh.

For Class 10, the sessions cover Mathematics and Science. Class 12 students will receive support in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics.

The programme is being held in Leh, Nubra A, Nubra B, Shams, Zanskar, Kargil, Drass, Changthang, Sankoo and Chiktan.

According to the board, the sessions go beyond subject content. They focus on subject-wise academic preparation, assessment strategies, examination techniques, time management and effective approaches for board examinations.

Experienced teachers and resource persons drawn from CBSE-affiliated schools across the country have been nominated to lead the sessions. The initiative is intended to strengthen students' subject understanding, confidence and examination preparedness.

The board is expected to release the date sheet for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations 2027 shortly.

Ahead of that, principals of all affiliated schools have been informed that the registration process for Classes 9 and 11, along with the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for Classes 10 and 12, will begin soon.

Schools have been directed to ensure that students' personal details and the subjects offered to them are submitted correctly. The information to be kept ready includes the candidate's full name as recorded in the admission register, date of birth, category (General/SC/ST/OBC, etc.), and the full names of parents or guardians with correct spellings. Subject-wise registration must follow the prescribed scheme of studies, and each candidate's photograph and signature must be in the specified format.

The board has asked schools to verify all candidate details thoroughly before submission, warning that errors could lead to complications later in the examination process.

It also flagged recurring problems seen during recent examinations. These included incorrect subject codes or subjects entered by schools, which led to correction requests after submission; incorrect student or parent details, again prompting correction requests; non-submission of the LOC for some students; and failure to submit the LOC within the prescribed timeline.

The board noted that such errors continued despite repeated reminders to schools to ensure the correct submission of students' personal details and subjects offered.
