CBSE Releases Sample Papers and Marking Schemes for Classes 10 and 12
CBSE has published subject-wise sample question papers and marking schemes for Classes 10 and 12 for 2026-27, with no change to paper design or passing criteria.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has released sample question papers and marking schemes for Classes 10 and 12 for the 2026-27 academic session. The subject-wise material is available on the board's official academic website.
According to the board, the sample papers offer a broad template of the question paper design and are meant to support classroom teaching and learning, with an emphasis on applying concepts to real-life situations.
CBSE has clarified that the question paper design and assessment pattern will remain unchanged for the 2026-27 session. The passing criteria will also stay the same as those in force during 2025-26.
For Class 10, sample papers and marking schemes cover Science, Mathematics (Basic and Standard), Social Science, English, Hindi, Home Science, Computer Application, music subjects, painting and several language subjects, among others.
For Class 12, the material has been issued for subjects including Accountancy, Biology, Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, along with several language, vocational and performing arts subjects.
Students can use the sample papers to familiarise themselves with the structure of the question papers and plan their preparation for the 2027 board examinations. The Class 10 and Class 12 resources are hosted on separate pages of the CBSE Academic website.
