Chiranjeevi Marks 48 Years in Cinema, Says Audience Love Outweighs All Honours

Megastar Chiranjeevi has completed 48 years in the film industry, a career spanning nearly five decades across Telugu cinema and other Indian-language markets.

Marking the occasion, the actor shared a post on X in which he looked back on his journey and thanked filmmakers, actors, technicians, producers and fans for their support over the years.

Recalling the roles and experiences that shaped his career, Chiranjeevi wrote that he had portrayed many characters, witnessed many victories and received numerous awards and honours. He expressed gratitude to every producer who trusted him with an opportunity, every director who drew out new facets of his craft, and the actors and technical experts who worked behind his films.

He said the affection of audiences had meant more to him than the accolades. "It is your collective support that has placed me at this level today. But greater than all those victories... is the love you have shown me. More valuable than all those honors... is the place you have given me in your hearts," he wrote.

The actor also thanked fans for treating him as a family member, saying the name "Chiranjeevi" had become his eternal identity through their affection.

Beyond Telugu cinema, Chiranjeevi has appeared in Hindi films including Pratibandh (1990), Aaj Ka Goonda Raj (1992) and The Gentleman (1994). Aaj Ka Goonda Raj was the Hindi remake of his Telugu film Gang Leader. Several of his Telugu titles were also dubbed and released in Hindi, helping him reach audiences outside the Telugu-speaking states.

Over his career, he has worked across genres and with multiple generations of actors, directors and technicians, sustaining a long presence in Indian cinema.
