CNN, MS NOW and Politico Sue Trump Over White House Press Ban

The dispute centres on the White House press pool, the rotating group of journalists that covers the president's public appearances and travels. Access to that pool is a key channel through which news organisations report on the presidency, and exclusion from it can sharply limit their ability to gather first-hand information.
The lawsuit names the president and other administration officials as defendants. It argues that barring the three outlets from White House grounds amounts to a violation of constitutional protections for speech and the press.
The case is now before the courts, with the news organisations seeking to overturn the restrictions on their access.
