He accused right-wing media outlets of cherry-picking portions of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's speech and distorting his statement to create a false impression of internal discord.
Govindan's clarification comes amid a flurry of reports that sought to portray the party leadership as being at odds with itself over the factors that led to the LDF's poor performance at the polls. The state secretary maintained that such narratives are unfounded and are being propagated with the intent to undermine the party's unity.
