Cyberabad Traffic Police Urge Work-From-Home, Online Classes Amid Rain and Ganesh Immersions
Cyberabad Traffic Police advise companies to allow staggered early logouts and work from home from September 18 to 25, and schools to consider online classes, citing rain and Ganesh immersions.
The Cyberabad Traffic Police have issued an advisory asking companies to encourage work from home and allow employees to log out early in a staggered manner from 2 p.m. onwards between September 18 and 25. The measures are intended to reduce travel-related risks and ease pressure on road infrastructure during a period when moderate to heavy rainfall has been forecast alongside Ganesh immersion processions.
Educational institutions in the area have been asked to consider holding online or virtual classes over the same window. The police said this would limit travel for students and help essential services function smoothly in adverse weather conditions.
The advisory, issued on Thursday, applies to companies and organisations operating in Cyberabad. It comes as the region braces for both weather-related disruption and the movement of immersion processions, which typically draw large crowds and affect traffic flow.
By staggering departures from 2 p.m. and promoting remote work, authorities aim to spread out peak-hour travel and keep key routes available. Schools and colleges switching to virtual instruction would similarly cut down daily commuting during the period.
