Daayra Trailer: Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran Clash Over Justice in Meghna Gulzar's Thriller

The trailer for Meghna Gulzar's upcoming crime thriller Daayra has been released, offering a tense first look at a story where truth is subjective and justice is a matter of perspective. The film, which hits cinemas on September 18, 2026, is inspired by true events and explores the aftermath of a crime that grips the nation, triggering widespread outrage and setting off two parallel investigations.

At the center of the narrative are two senior police officers, played by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, who approach duty and justice from opposing viewpoints. As the investigations unfold, their conflicting methods challenge the very notion of right and wrong, with the trailer building suspense through revelations that shift the audience's understanding of the case.

The film, written by Yash Keswani, Sima Agarwal, and Meghna Gulzar, goes beyond the crime itself to examine public perception and the narratives that emerge in its wake.
