David Harbour Wins First Emmy for 'DTF St. Louis'

Actor David Harbour has won his first career Emmy. The 51-year-old took home the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys, held Sunday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Harbour was recognized for his performance as Floyd Smernitch in the HBO series 'DTF St. Louis'. The win marks a milestone for the actor, who had previously received two Emmy nominations for his role in 'Stranger Things'.

Reflecting on the achievement, Harbour described the moment as "very moving." He noted the show's strong presence at this year's awards, saying the 13 nominations across the board felt like an embrace. "I am taking the time to bask in and appreciate it," he said.

Harbour's competition in the category included Jason Bateman, Richard Gadd, Richard Jenkins, Charles Melton, and Nick Offerman.

Bateman, who stars as Clark Forrest in 'DTF St. Louis', was a two-time nominee this year. He also received a nod for Best Actor for 'Black Rabbit', bringing his career Emmy nomination tally to 18. He previously won an Emmy for directing 'Ozark' in 2019.

Gadd earned his fourth Emmy nomination for 'Half Man', a drama series about two estranged brothers, which he also created. Gadd previously swept the 2024 Emmys for 'Baby Reindeer'.

Jenkins received his fourth Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Detective Donoghue Homer in 'DTF St. Louis'. He said he was "stunned" by the nomination, praising his co-stars Harbour and Bateman as "extraordinary."

Melton was the only first-time nominee in the category, recognized for his role in 'Beef' Season 2. Offerman was a double nominee this year, also earning a nod for a comedy series.

The 78th Emmy Awards, hosted by Mariska Hargitay, will air live on NBC and Peacock on September 14.
