Aditya Dhar, Bollywood peers congratulate Deepika and Ranveer on second daughter

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their second daughter on September 19, drawing congratulations from Aditya Dhar and other film industry colleagues.

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar has extended his wishes to Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh after the couple welcomed their second child, a baby girl, on September 19.

Dhar, who directed Ranveer in the action-spy thriller franchise 'Dhurandhar', shared a warm message for the new parents. He wrote that the family had first been blessed with Lakshmi and now with Saraswati, adding that he was delighted for them and wishing the newborn a life filled with love and happiness.

The couple announced the arrival of their daughter through a joint Instagram post on Saturday evening, sharing an image of a baby's footprint. The post, which carried only an evil eye emoji as its caption, marked their family growing from three to four.

Deepika and Ranveer are already parents to a daughter, Dua. A day before the birth, the couple visited Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings.

Wishes poured in from several other celebrities. Kareena Kapoor congratulated the couple, referring to them as "two queens", while Kriti Sanon expressed joy that Dua now has a baby sister, calling it a blessing. Raveena Tandon also sent her greetings, describing the news as a double celebration of prosperity.

On Dua's second birthday recently, the couple had shared a set of black-and-white photographs, one of which showed Ranveer holding Deepika's baby bump as the two smiled with their foreheads touching.

On the work front, Deepika will next be seen in Siddharth Anand's 'King', which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, and in Atlee's sci-fi action film 'Raaka', featuring Allu Arjun. Ranveer, meanwhile, has been busy shooting for 'Pralay'.
