Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a baby girl, prompting an outpouring of congratulations from Bollywood celebrities.
Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have become parents to a second daughter. The couple shared the news on Saturday evening through a joint Instagram post featuring a baby footprint and the words, "Welcome Baby Girl. 19|9|2026 Dua, Deepika and Ranveer." They captioned the post with an evil eye emoji.
The announcement quickly drew a wave of congratulatory messages from family, friends and colleagues in the film industry. Actor Vicky Kaushal wrote, "God bless! Congratulations." Kriti Sanon expressed her joy, commenting, "Awww!! congratulations you guys!!! Dua has a baby sister!!! Such a blessing." Veteran actor Anil Kapoor added, "Congratulations Girls are the best," while Bipasha Basu sent her love to the entire family. Alia Bhatt also reacted to the news with a warm comment.
Just a day before the birth, the couple visited Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings. They are already parents to daughter Dua, who recently turned two. On that occasion, the couple had shared a series of black-and-white photographs, including one in which Ranveer is seen holding Deepika's baby bump as the two smile with their foreheads touching.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Siddharth Anand's 'King', which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. She is also part of Atlee's sci-fi action film 'Raaka', headlined by Allu Arjun. Ranveer Singh, meanwhile, has been busy shooting for 'Pralay'.
