Delhi Draft Voter List Out: How to Check Your Name and File Claims
Delhi's draft electoral roll is out. 47.7 lakh names are missing. Check your name online and file Form 6 claims by September 30.
The draft electoral roll for Delhi was published on August 31, 2026, following the conclusion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise that ran from June 20 to August 17. The draft list excludes 47.7 lakh electors from the total 1.45 crore voters in the national capital.
These exclusions cover individuals who may have relocated, passed away, or are part of duplicate entries. Others have been marked "uncollectible" for various reasons and will eventually be removed from the rolls. However, the Election Commission has provided a clear process for affected voters to get their names reinstated.
How to check your name
Voters can verify their inclusion in the draft roll through three methods on the Election Commission's voter services website:
- By EPIC: Select your language, enter your Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number and state (NCT of Delhi), then complete the captcha.
- By details: Select your state and language, then fill in your name, relative's name (as per the SIR form), date of birth, age, gender, district, and assembly constituency. Complete the captcha to search.
- By mobile: Select your state and language, enter the captcha, and search.
Filing a claim for inclusion
If your name is missing, you can use the 'Claims and Objections' process. First, cross-verify your historical registration details on the voter services portal using either the 'Search by Elector Details' or 'Search in last SIR E-Roll' option. If your name still doesn't appear, proceed with the following steps:
- Register on the Election Commission's voter website using an active mobile number and optional email ID.
- Log in and click on 'New Voter Registration' or Form 6. You must complete the lineage declaration by providing your or your parents' historical voter roll details.
- Upload supporting documents: age/identity proof (Aadhaar, passport, or PAN card) and Delhi address proof (recent electricity bill, water bill, or bank passbook).
- Submit the form and save the instantly generated reference ID to track your claim's status in real time.
Claims can also be filed through the Voter Helpline App, available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The last date to submit claims is September 30, 2026. The final voter roll will be published on November 4.
