Delhi Building Collapse: PG Operator Held, Second Suspect Absconding

Delhi Police arrest PG operator Sudhanshu in Satya Niketan collapse; co-operator on the run. Seven dead, five students.

Delhi Police have made an arrest in connection with the collapse of a paying guest (PG) facility in Satya Niketan that claimed seven lives earlier this month. The accused, identified as Sudhanshu, one of the operators of the establishment, has been taken into custody. His business partner remains at large, with authorities actively searching for him.

The tragic incident occurred on September 6, when the multi-storey building housing the PG facility gave way. The collapse resulted in the deaths of seven individuals, five of whom were students residing in the accommodation. The disaster sent shockwaves through the locality, which is popular among students attending nearby universities and coaching centres.

The arrest marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation into the structural failure. Police are now focusing on questioning Sudhanshu to determine the sequence of events and establish the culpability of the building's owners and operators. The search for the second operator continues as the probe deepens into the circumstances that led to the fatal collapse.
