The Election Commission has published a list of 33.1 lakh electors flagged during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Delhi's electoral rolls, with notices being issued to those whose entries raised concerns.
According to the published list, electors were flagged either for "logical discrepancies" in their details or for "no mapping" — a reference to cases where the recorded particulars could not be matched against the relevant database.
The list includes several prominent names. Among those who will receive notices are Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Others named include former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, former Supreme Court judge Justice Madan B. Lokur, former Union Minister Kapil Sibal, Delhi Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh and MP Bansuri Swaraj.
The exercise is part of the SIR process under way in the national capital, under which electoral rolls are being scrutinised and electors whose entries show inconsistencies are being asked to respond.
The publication of the list marks a significant step in the revision, with notices set to go out to the flagged electors across categories.
