Delhi Traffic Advisory: BRICS Summit Rehearsal to Disrupt Roads on Sept 5

Delhi Traffic Police announce diversions on 35+ roads at 22 points for a BRICS summit motorcade rehearsal on Sept 5, 10 am-4 pm.

Commuters in the national capital should brace for significant road closures on Thursday, September 5, as Delhi Traffic Police have announced a comprehensive advisory ahead of a rehearsal for the upcoming BRICS Summit motorcade.

The drill is scheduled to take place between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. During this six-hour window, traffic movement will be restricted or diverted across more than 35 roads at approximately 22 strategic points in the city. The measures are intended to facilitate the smooth passage of the practice motorcade along its designated route.

Authorities have advised the public to plan their journeys well in advance and factor in potential delays. To minimize inconvenience, commuters are strongly encouraged to use the Delhi Metro rail network as an alternative mode of transport for the day.

Motorists are urged to follow the directions of traffic personnel on the ground and adhere to the designated diversion routes to avoid congestion. Further updates, if any, are expected to be issued by the traffic police as the rehearsal time approaches.
