Delhi University Opens CES 2025-26 Admissions, Drops Age Limit

Delhi University (DU) has begun accepting applications for its Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES) for the 2025-26 academic year, a move designed to make higher education accessible to learners at any stage of life.

The scheme, introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, is being coordinated by the university's Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILLL). It aims to help individuals return to academics, refresh their knowledge, and upgrade their qualifications without being constrained by age or conventional admission cycles.

Under CES, selected learners will attend classes alongside regular students. They can pick subjects that align with their prior educational background and eligibility, creating a flexible pathway for continued study.

Applicants must meet the minimum educational requirements and any additional conditions specified for their chosen course. Admission will depend on seat availability in the relevant department or college.

Importantly, CES admissions will be offered through additional or supernumerary seats. These are separate from regular admission seats and will not reduce opportunities for other students.
