CJP founder Dipke challenges PM Modi to publicly show degrees

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday publicly challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reveal his educational qualifications, turning the spotlight back on the Prime Minister amid ongoing speculation over Dipke's own academic credentials.

In a post on X, Dipke addressed the Prime Minister directly, suggesting they both disclose their degrees to settle the matter. He noted that while people are impatient to see his degree, he wonders how they have managed for 12 years without seeing the Prime Minister's. He also questioned the Delhi High Court's order that refused to disclose details of PM Modi's Bachelor's degree.

Dipke argued that educational qualifications of those in constitutional positions should be open to public scrutiny. He called on those questioning his credentials to also ask the Prime Minister to show his degree.

In a separate development, Dipke rejected allegations that his organisation functions as a "B team" for either the Congress or the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He stated that his group is the "students' A team" and that rival parties should first decide which party he supposedly represents.

He further urged political leaders across parties to support campaigns aimed at improving government schools, asserting that education is a national issue, not the initiative of any single organisation. He welcomed the efforts of leaders from various parties, including Shiv Sena and NCP, in this regard.

His remarks follow the announcement by Manish Brahmbhatt, founder of Cockroach Janata Party-Democratic (CJP-D), who launched the platform with a focus on transparency and democratic decision-making. Brahmbhatt urged volunteers not to turn the movement into "Kejriwal's team" and announced social media accounts and a missed-call facility for those wishing to join.
