Divya Khossla backs Sunita Ahuja, questions Govinda's public appearances

Actor Divya Khossla has voiced her support for Sunita Ahuja amid continuing speculation about her marriage to Govinda. In a lengthy note shared on her Instagram Story, Divya addressed women's independence, marriage and the importance of respecting relationships, while questioning Govinda's recent public appearances with Komal Rani Swarnkar.

Recalling Govinda's popularity in the 1990s, Divya said he had been a favourite of many, including her mother, but added that his recent conduct had altered how she viewed him. She wrote that Sunita had given her husband her all, remained loyal, raised their children and never built a career of her own, describing her as the woman behind his success.

Divya said she found it difficult to watch the situation, particularly when discussions about an alleged relationship were being shared publicly. She asked why audiences were being subjected to what is put on display, even as people hesitate to interfere in personal matters.

Speaking about Sunita's feelings, Divya said that at 58, a woman deserves to walk into old age with her husband by her side, looking after her. She said Sunita's words, heart and pain reached her, and that she deserved companionship and care at this stage of her life.

Ending her note with a direct appeal to Govinda, Divya said that while he is a legend, his respect is in his own hands. She said his actions were setting a bad example for future generations and that he had lost his respect in her eyes.

The post follows Govinda's recent visit to the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal with Komal Rani Swarnkar, his co-star in the upcoming film 'Roopa'. Pictures and videos from the visit circulated on social media, leading to further speculation about their relationship. Govinda and Sunita Ahuja married in 1987 and have two children.
