Dolce & Gabbana Reworks Sicilian Legacy at Milan Show With Jennifer Lopez

Dolce & Gabbana returned to its Sicilian roots for Spring Summer 2027 in Milan on Saturday, presenting a collection that treated the house's established codes as an heirloom to be reworked rather than retired.

Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana framed the lineup as a handover between generations — a trousseau moving from grandmother to granddaughter. Familiar house signatures remained in place, including black dresses, lingerie-inspired looks and animal prints, but they were recast alongside pieces aimed at younger buyers.

Nubby tweed suiting appeared with leopard trim, while bloomers and bra tops were cut from checked tablecloth prints. Lace slips carried fringe and bead embellishment, and glammed-up denim was paired with gardening boots. One runway look drew particular attention: a trailing animal-print hooded cape with gold detailing and faux fur trim.

Jennifer Lopez took a front-row seat in a dark velvet suit with a matching cap and equestrian boots. The singer and actress, who has a long association with the label, watched the models closely during the show. Earlier in the week she had joined the designers at Vogue World in a strapless black tulle gown with sequin detailing.

Outside the venue, fans waved signs for K-pop artist Choi San and Japanese actor Hikaru Iwamoto, but the chant that rose as guests left was for Lopez.
